Avalon Cable Rail Surface Mount Post and similar flush‑mount cable posts are structural railing posts pre‑drilled specifically for the Avalon cable railing system. They serve as the main load‑bearing supports for horizontal cable infill — taking the tension loads from the cable and anchoring them securely to your deck surface.These posts are designed to be surface‑mounted directly to your deck or porch framing (hence flush mount) and not buried in the fascia or hidden behind sleeves — giving a clean, solid cable railing installation.
Typical Features
Built‑for‑Cable Design- Pre‑drilled holes sized for cable lines at standard spacing (about 3.125″ on level runs), so you can thread 1/8″ stainless cable straight through the post without custom drilling.
- End, mid, and corner versions available — end and corner posts are built to handle higher tension loads from the cable runs
- 1 structural aluminum post with holes for the cable path.
- Post cap — finished top to match Avalon railing.
- Post skirt (trim piece) to hide hardware at the base.

- Powder‑coated aluminum in Avalon finishes like Matte Black, Matte Bronze, or White so it matches other Avalon components.

How They Work in a Cable Railing System
- Set Posts at Code‑Approved Spacing — posts are positioned along your deck edge where you want the cable run.
- Surface Mount — posts are installed flat to your deck or stair surface using lag bolts or anchor bolts.
- Thread Cable Lines through holes in each post using RDI cable hardware.
- Tension Cable between end posts and support with beam kits or end fittings.
- Add Top Rail — after cables are in place, you typically cap the posts with an Avalon top rail or cable beam to finish the look.
Aluminum end, mid, and corner posts are pre-drilled for both 36" and 42" finished rail heights. End and corner posts are heavy duty to support the load of the tensioned cables. Cable spacing is 3.125". on the level rail posts.

individual transferee as specified herein.

partnerships, trusts, religious organizations, schools, condominiums, homeowner associations, cooperative housing arrangements and apartment
buildings. The warranty period will be twenty (20) years following the original date of Product purchase.
What is covered: Barrette Outdoor Living warrants that its aluminum railing products (“Product”) will be free from defects in material and workmanship
for the warranty period. This limited warranty is valid beginning on the date of Product purchase.
Barrette Outdoor Living warrants the Product against peeling, flaking, rotting, chipping, cracking, blistering, splintering, corrosion and rusting, structural
damage due to weather influences, or abnormal discoloration/fading* under normal atmosphere and weather conditions; fungal decay or wood boring
insects.
