Divider Post for Freestyle Screen Frame Kit
This is the divider post kit designed specifically for the Freestyle (also referred to as EncloSure™) screen enclosure system. It’s not a typical deck railing post — it’s a 2″ × 2″ aluminum screen wall post used to divide up or structure your screen wall frame when you’re installing an enclosure.
Purpose & Where It’s Used
- The Divider Post serves a few key framing functions within a Freestyle screen installation:
- Create a vertical or horizontal division in a larger opening — useful when spanning more than a single panel width.
- Frame a screen door by acting as the upright members around the doorway opening.
- Build in a chair rail or horizontal division — helpful if you want sections of screen separated with a horizontal member (like mid-rail style).
- Bridge two framing kits when you join multiple screen frame sections.
Key Features
• Durable Aluminum Construction
Made from powder-coated aluminum with corrosion resistance — matches the rest of the Freestyle/EncloSure framing and lasts outdoors.
• Dual-Channel Design
The profile is a dual-channel screen post extrusion that lets you insert flat spline and screen or connect to other frame pieces securely.
• Multiple Lengths Available
Divider post kits are available in different lengths (e.g., 8′, 10′, 12′), allowing you to match your enclosure height and layout.
• Includes Hardware
These kits include bracket clips, fasteners, and flat spline needed for installation — so they tie directly into the rest of your enclosure frame kit.
• Multiple Colors / Finishes
Available in finishes like White, Matte Black, and Charcoal Bronze, to coordinate with your enclosure framing.
Typical Uses in an Enclosure Project
- Splitting a wide opening: If your porch or patio opening is wider than a single standard screen frame, the divider posts let you join multiple frames and create a continuous wall.
- Framing a screen door: Divider posts are used to frame the perimeter around a doorway or create support alongside the door opening.
- Adding structure: In large enclosures, adding vertical posts mid-span improves rigidity and keeps screening tight.
- Adding a chair rail: You can install a horizontal divider post as a mid-rail if you want a structural break in the screen area.
