What It Is
An RDI Gate Drop Rod is a heavy-duty drop rod (also called a drop pin/cane bolt) designed to hold one gate panel securely in place so the other gate can latch to it. It’s commonly used on double gates, especially in vinyl railing or fence gate setups.

How It Works
- A drop rod slides down into the ground or a receiver plate when the gate is closed, anchoring that gate leaf so it doesn’t swing. This lets the other gate leaf latch normally. Drop rods are especially helpful on double gates — you secure one panel so the second can close tightly.

What is covered: Barrette Outdoor Living warrants that its aluminum railing products (“Product”) will be free from defects in material and workmanship
for the warranty period. This limited warranty is valid beginning on the date of Product purchase.
Barrette Outdoor Living warrants the Product against peeling, flaking, rotting, chipping, cracking, blistering, splintering, corrosion and rusting, structural
damage due to weather influences, or abnormal discoloration/fading* under normal atmosphere and weather conditions; fungal decay or wood boring
insects.
