What These Posts Are
The posts for Excalibur California Railing by RDI are steel post assemblies designed specifically to work with RDI’s Excalibur® Powder-Coated Steel Railing system. These posts are the vertical members you install at the ends, corners, midpoints, or intermediate points of your railing runs to provide structural support and a finished appearance.
These posts are California-sized (built to meet local code requirements and sizing restrictions in California), which can differ from standard Excalibur posts in dimensions or mounting style.

Designed for Excalibur Railing
- Made to work with Excalibur California steel railing panels and components — so the brackets, caps, and finishes align properly.
- Posts typically include pre-attached brackets, pre-mounted post top, bracket covers, a two-piece trim ring, and vinyl shims — meaning fewer separate parts to assemble.
Mounting Flexibility
- Available in surface mount (bolts to deck surface)
- Bracket options are available for both level sections and stair runs when using blank posts with separate angled brackets.
