What It Is
This straight joiner is a connector piece used in RDI’s secondary handrail systems (ADA-compliant handrails) to join two sections of handrail in a straight line. It is designed specifically to work with aluminum or vinyl–clad handrail sections and ensures a solid, aligned connection between them.
Purpose & Function
- Joins two handrail lengths: The joiner fits inside the open ends of two handrail pieces, bridging them so they become one continuous run.
- Keeps rails aligned: Provides a metal-to-metal connection, not just an adhesive or cosmetic piece — this helps maintain strength and straight alignment.
