These polypropylene spacers are designed to sit between your home and your decking, allowing water and debris to flow through the ledger and protect your home from rot.
This product is designed to easily and efficiently provide air space between buildings and deck ledgers, stair stringers, shade structures, railing posts, fence posts, and more. Proper airspace and sound construction details should prevent rot from occurring at these connections.
Typically, practices like “stacked washers”, Z- flashing, and L- flashing are used in this process, however, these products by Deck2Wall prove to outperform and may more closely fit your needs! Tested using ½” and ā ” bolts lags, this product is more compatible with a greater selection of fasteners, can more easily be waterproofed, are easier to install, non-corrosive, and has a larger surface area to bear greater weight distribution. Most notably, compared to washers or other tools, the Wall Spacers by Deck2Wall were specifically designed for this application.
Deck2Wall Spacers are easy to install; with properly sizes screws or nails, simply fasten the spacer to the ledger through the attachment holes prior to bolting the ledger to the structure.
