What It Is
The 601 Series by Rail FX is a 1/8″ stainless steel cable railing kit intended for outside-of-post to inside-of-post installations, especially useful when there’s limited clearance behind one post (such as when a railing runs next to a wall or structure).
It’s part of RailFX’s cable railing lineup, offering a modern, minimally obstructed look and easier installation compared with through-post systems alone.

- Type 316 Stainless Steel Cable: Corrosion-resistant, outdoor-ready material for long life and low maintenance.
- Invisiware® Receiver: A tensioning fitting that installs through the wood post and tightens using a standard Allen wrench (typically 3/16″).
- Push-Lock® Lag Fitting: Allows cable to be quickly secured at the opposite end without special tools.
Designed for Limited Space
- One end of the cable installs through the post while the other mounts to the face of a post — ideal for situations where you can’t drill holes through both sides of a post or have tight clearance next to a wall or structure.
