The Instant Foundation System by Tuffblock is a multi-purpose tool used for home improvement projects ranging from low-profile decks, garden sheds, landings, pathways, cubby houses, dog shelters and more.
Extremely adaptable, this product all 2" nominal joists and 4" x 4" posts, as well as joists from 35mm - 47mm and posts from 90mm - 100mm. Weighing in at 1½ lbs., this product can hold up to 1700 lbs. in weight. It is extremely versatile structurally, and easy to build. Installing these 100% recycled plastic cubes is an extremely attractive alternative to digging holes and mixing concrete, saving both time and money. Constructable within hours and with minimal experience, this product is a DIY-ers dream.
TuffBlock’s are made of high-strength, closed-loop recycled polyolefin material with an ultra-high UV rating. Designed with a ventilated underside to prevent moisture buildup and deter termites. TuffBlock’s are the only block products that are able to be secured to the post/bearer for extra stability.
Unique to the TuffBlock is the ability for low-level decking, it is now possible to build a deck as low as 6½” without the need for digging. TuffBlocks have been engineered for structures up to 36" above ground. Having said this, many people have built structures higher than this using the composite foundation method (TuffBlocks in combination with concrete-in-ground footings). We recommend that you consult with a qualified builder or engineer regarding your project.
