Deckorators Push Lock Release Tool for 1/8" Cable
What it is
A simple, purpose-built tool used when installing Deckorators cable railing systems to help release 1/8″ cable from Push-Lock and Pull-Lock fittings before you tension the cables.
How it works:
- It inserts into the spring-loaded clamping mechanism in the fitting to open the jaws that grip the cable.
- This lets you reposition or remove the cable during the installation process before the cable is fully tensioned.
- Important: it’s not designed to release cable after it’s been fully tensioned — once tensioned, the fittings grip the cable permanently unless cut.
