CONCEALoc Hidden Fastener
How It Works
- The system uses stainless-steel clips that fit into the groove on the side of deck boards.
- Screws are driven through the clip into the joist at a 45° angle, pulling the board tight and spacing it evenly from the next board.
- Because clips sit behind the boards, no screws are visible on the deck surface once installed — just uniform spacing and a smooth finish.
Installation Options
You can install CONCEALoc fasteners in two main ways:
- Hand-driven: with a drill/driver and the provided T15 star-drive bit (included with some kits).
- Pneumatic tool: using a pneumatic installation gun like a TigerClaw to speed up high-volume installs.
Spacing & Fit
- The clips include built-in spacing tabs to give consistent gaps (around 1/8″–3/16″) between boards.
- They work with most TimberTech grooved decking boards.

About this product...
The CONCEALoc® Hidden Fastener System is designed for installation of edge-grooved planks, ensuring a smooth, safe, and attractive deck surface. 
The "wings" on each CONCEALoc® Fastener insert into side grooves in adjoining Deck Boards. Hidden below the surface of the deck, they are securely held to the top of the underlying structural joists with a single stainless steel screw (included) and insure proper and consistent spacing of the deck boards. Ingenious!
