What It Is:
The EDGEfast Decker Tool is a pneumatic decking installation tool used with the EDGEfast hidden fastening system — a fastener setup that secures deck boards without visible screws on the surface. It’s designed to speed up installation and create a clean, professional-looking deck surface.
Key Features
- Pneumatic Operation: Uses air power (through an air compressor) to drive fasteners quickly and consistently.
- Hidden Fastener System: Works with EDGEfast fasteners that clip and drive into the edges of square-edge deck boards, pulling them tight to the joist and locking boards together. This keeps the deck surface free of visible fasteners.
- “Place Once, Shoot Twice”: A common way installers describe the system — position the tool over the joist and fire fasteners that secure both board edges in one go.
- Interchangeable Gap Guides: Includes guides (0″, 1/8″, 3/16″, 1/4″ and even custom spacers) so you can control spacing between deck boards accurately.
- Fastener Compatibility: Edgefast fasteners are available in stainless steel or a coated steel approved for ACQ pressure-treated wood. They have a stepped shape and double points to reduce splitting and ensure a positive drive.

- EDGE Fast locks two edges of PVC and most wood square edge decking with just one placement over the joist.
- EDGE Fast makes a positive connection of decking to joist without any lateral movement.
- The EDGE Fast Patent Pending pneumatic tool has interchangeable decking gap guides from 0, 1/8", 3/16" & 1/4", or a custom gap of your choice.
- Patent Pending Fasteners have a stepped cross section for strength and to avoid splitting the joist below.
- Fasteners double point keep a true drive at either pivot point.
- Patent Pending Fasteners are collated for easy handling and quick loading.
- Available in 304 stainless steel or more economical EDGE coat steel (ACQ Approved).
