Excalibur Decorative Panel by RDI
What It Is
The Excalibur Decorative Steel Panel is a factory-welded steel deck railing panel designed to bring both strength and architectural style to your outdoor railing project. It’s part of RDI’s MetalWorks Excalibur® series — a galvanized steel railing system that blends classic durability with decorative design options.
Construction & Finish
- Material: Steel that is galvanized and powder-coated for enhanced corrosion resistance and outdoor durability — a heavier, sturdier build than many aluminum systems.
- Pre-assembled & Welded: Panels come factory-welded. Brackets sold separately.
- Finishes: Available in at least Matte Black and Hammered Bronze powder-coated finishes to complement many deck and home styles.
- Warranty: Backed by a 15-year limited warranty for residential applications under the Excalibur line.
Decorative Infill Styles
The Excalibur Decorative Panels come in multiple ornamental designs you can choose from, such as:
- Serpentine Decorative — a flowing, curved cut-through pattern that adds artistic flair.
- Mosaic Decorative — geometric or repeating patterns for a distinctive, textured look.
These designs go beyond a standard baluster look and give your railing a custom, architectural character while still maintaining strength and safety.
You can often mix and match these decorative panels with other Excalibur styles (like traditional vertical baluster or Latitudes horizontal rod) to tailor the look of different railing sections.
Brackets sold separately:
METAL WORKS EXCALIBUR
Metal Works Excalibur brings you strength and security in steel railing. Excalibur features hidden attachments and pre-attached brackets, allowing for ease of installation. Available in textured Satin Black and Hammered Bronze finishes along with accessories to help you customize your install with a deck board top, Excalibur gives you the strength of steel in a traditional style and timeless style.
Components are fully welded prior to immersion in a zinc phosphate bath. They are then galvanized prior to an electrostatic-ally applied powder coat finish which is baked for maximum durability. The low gloss Satin Black and textured, Hammered Bronze finishes help hide marring, fingerprints, and dirt.
NOTE: Rail ends may be painted with any zinc rich primer or paint. For SATIN BLACK touchups, we recommend Rust-Oleum®*, Satin Canyon Black, Color Code 249844. For BRONZE touch-ups, we recommend RustOleum®*, Hammered Brown, Color Code 210880.
* If you live in coastal areas (beach front), or areas where salts and pollutants are more prevalent (industrial areas), then the railings should be cleaned more frequently. We recommend cleaning your railing every 3 months. Wash with a mild, nonabrasive soap and water, using a sponge to reduce accumulations of salt and dirt. Always rinse with fresh water after cleaning, to remove any soap residue.
COLOR OPTIONS:
- Matte Black
- Hammered bronze
