Screeneze Flatbar for Arched Openings
The SCREENEZE® Flatbar is essentially the SCREENEZE solution for arched and curved screen openings. Instead of trying to bend the standard rigid SCREENEZE frame around an arch, Flatbar uses a flexible aluminum base and vinyl cap that can follow the curve while holding the screen securely. It can be field-built directly to the opening, so you don’t need a template or metal-bending equipment.
A few important specs:
- Arch capability: Works with a true half-round arch with a minimum 36-inch radius, as well as softer-radius curves.
- Length: Flatbar is supplied in 8-foot lengths.
- Construction: Solid aluminum-alloy base with a PVC vinyl cap containing a UV inhibitor; the aluminum has a baked-on polyester finish.
- Colors: Bronze, White, Sand, and Clay.
- Compatibility: Designed to work with SCREENEZE Flush Mount and Corner Mount installations.
- Installation: For an arched panel, SCREENEZE recommends installing the bottom first, then the top/arch, then the vertical sides. For a true half-round opening, Flatbar can be used on both the verticals and the curved portion; with a soft-radius arch, standard Flush Mount can generally be used on the verticals.
Contains five 8-foot Flatbars, five vinyl caps, and 50 color-matching screws. Can be combined with the Original Frame Kit to complete custom arched screen projects.
The Flatbar lets a homeowner or contractor screen an architectural arch while retaining the clean SCREENEZE look, without having a fabricator custom-bend conventional aluminum track.
