ALX Classic Solar Post Cap by Deckorators

What It Is:
A 2-1/2″ solar-powered LED post cap designed to fit ALX Classic or Contemporary railing posts (the narrower 2-1/2″ × 2-1/2″ aluminum posts used in Deckorators’ ALX aluminum railing systems). It tops the post with a solar light and a cap that protects the top of your post — combining function and ambiance.

Soft Ambient Light

  • Typically produces a low (about 1-2 lumens) warm glow — enough to gently illuminate railing tops and create atmosphere without bright, task-level lighting.

Installation

  • Slip-on cap: Simply place the cap on top of the post. Some installers use exterior construction adhesive or outdoor-rated silicone to secure it so it won’t shift in wind or weather.
  • Sun exposure: For best performance, install in a location that gets several hours of sunlight daily so the internal battery can fully charge before dusk.

The 2.5" Classic solar post cap protects and illuminates the top of posts on our ALX railing. Solar-powered post caps are made of low-maintenance aluminum and glow softly at night. Rechargeable batteries are included. Inside dimensions measure 2.5" x 2.5". Follow these installation instructions to install the classic solar post cap. Low voltage lighted post caps are also available to coordinate with the ALX aluminum railing.

LIMITED WARRANTY Warrantor will repair or replace any Post Cap that exhibits defects in materials or workmanship, for all but the Solar Light Components in a solar post cap, for a period of two years following date of purchase. Warrantor will repair or replace any Post Cap that exhibits defects in materials or workmanship in the Solar Light Components for a period of one year following date of purchase. Solar Light Components includes the solar panel, the low voltage solar cell and the L.E.D. light bulb. This Warranty does not cover the rechargeable battery. This Warranty does not cover cost of installation, removal or reinstallation. Warrantor’s sole obligation is limited to repair or replacement, and Warrantor shall have no further liability or obligation except as expressly stated herein. If a claim is made under this Warranty on a product that is no longer available, Warrantor reserves the right to provide a similar product of equivalent quality and value
