What It Is

The Summit Solar Post Cap by Classy Caps is a solar post cap light that fits round metal posts — especially common chain‑link fence posts — and provides automatic LED lighting at night with no wiring or external power required.

It’s designed for quick DIY installation and uses solar energy to recharge each day, then turns itself on at dusk to add decorative and accent lighting.

Lighting & Performance

  • Solar‑Powered: Built‑in solar panel charges a rechargeable Ni‑MH battery during the day, so the light operates at night automatically.
  • High‑Output LED: Produces a bright white accent light (about ~5 lumens, around 4500 – 5500 K).
  • Automatic Dusk‑to‑Dawn Operation: Light comes on when it gets dark and shuts off at dawn — no switches needed.
  • Runtime: Up to around 8–10 hours on a full day’s charge (actual runtime depends on available sunlight).
