Our Tyvek® StraightFlash tape by DuPont is both versatile and flexible while maintaining strength and withstanding water corrosion. The StraightFlash model merges the best of both worlds, resulting in a premium door and window flashing protection that keeps rain out and integrates seamlessly with other DuPont air and water barriers in a complete building envelope system.
This product bridges the gap between the rough opening and building envelope to protect against water intrusion around heads and jambs of rectangular doors, windows and other gaps. Using this tape sealant halts potential water damage–rot, corrosion and mold–before it starts, resulting in a more durable wall assembly. By preventing air and water leakage, DuPont StraightFlash also preserves the installed R-Value of insulation and contributes towards the U.S. Green Building Council LEED® points, making buildings more energy efficient.
This product is constructed of an oriented polypropylene film, coated with a specially formulated permanent acrylic adhesive to create the best adhesion between seam tape and DuPont Tyvek® weather barriers. Further, this tape is versatile as well as recommended as a best installation practice for sealing seams of the DuPont Tyvek Weatherization System.
DuPont StraightFlash is compatible with all DuPont Tyvek® air and water barriers and other building envelope products.
