Aurora Base Plate Socket Converter
What It Is
The Aurora Base Plate Socket Converter is a deck lighting accessory used with Aurora outdoor post cap lights. It lets you change the electrical voltage that a fixture uses by swapping out the base plate and socket — without changing the whole light fixture.
What It Does
- Voltage conversion: It allows you to convert an outdoor light fixture from low-voltage (12 V) to line-voltage (110 V) or vice versa by replacing the base plate and socket.
- Easy retrofit: Most Aurora deck lights just require removing four screws on the light’s base trim and installing the converter plate in its place.
How It’s Used
- If you want to use a 110 V power source (standard household voltage) but have a low-voltage light originally set up for 12 V, you install this converter to adapt the wiring and socket.
- Conversely, if you have low-voltage wiring and want to use a low-voltage fixture where there was previously a 110 V one, the reverse converter plate lets you switch back.

What is the product warranty?
The Aurora Deck Light product is warranted against manufacturer defect for a period of one year. Product replacement is provided at no charge during this warranty period. Product must be returned to Deck lights for inspection at customer expense. Aurora Deck Lights does not provide for any labor costs related to product warranty.
