How Solarband VersaCaps Work
- Solar Powered: The light has an onboard solar panel that charges rechargeable batteries during the day. At dusk it automatically turns on, giving nighttime illumination without any electrical wiring.
- LED Lighting: Equipped with LED bulbs (typically cool or warm white depending on model) that provide about 4 lumens of soft light — ideal for ambient deck or pathway lighting, not high-output area lighting.
- Configurable Fit: Includes removable collar inserts inside the base, so one Solarband VersaCap can adapt from posts as small as 3-½″ square up to about 4-5/8″ square — good for most 4×4 posts or post sleeves.
- Simple Install: Just set it on top of your post, removing the right number of internal collars so it fits snugly. No screws or wiring unless you choose to secure it with adhesive.

Not only do they provide wireless LED lighting with a modern design, they adapt to fit most rail posts made of wood, vinyl or composite; and work with most leading post sleeves on the market. Set includes 3 bracket inserts nested inside the base. Depending on the number of inserts used, the post cap fits most posts ranging from 3½" x 3½" to 4⅝" x 4⅝". Rechargeable batteries also included.
