What Is the Avalon Rod Rail:
- Product / System: It's part of the RDI Avalon Aluminum Railing line.
- Infill Style: Instead of square vertical balusters, the rod rail uses ½″ round horizontal aluminum rods, giving a more open, modern, horizontal-rod look.
- Uprights / Vertical Supports: Uses ¾″ vertical uprights to support the horizontal rods.
- Panel Types: Panels come pre-assembled for both level and stair applications.
- Rod Attachments: Uses bushings on the rods — these help prevent rattling and also allow for the rods to be removed / reworked if needed in the field.
- Top Rail Options: You pick a top rail style separately. Avalon offers three top-rail profiles: Oberon, Pellinore, Tristan.
- Finish / Color Options: Avalon's railing system is offered in Matte Black
- Material and Coating: Premium powder-coated aluminum; Avalon meets / exceeds AAMA-2604 finish standard.
- Testing / Durability: Avalon’s aluminum railing (including rod rail) undergoes advanced weather testing, including 10,000 hours of salt-spray.
- Warranty: Transferable limited lifetime warranty.
- Sizes: Panels are available in common residential sizes: 6′ and 8′ lengths, in 36″ and 42″ heights.
