What Collated Cortex Plugs Are

Collated Cortex plugs are pre-strung, ready-to-install hidden decking plugs used with the TimberTech Cortex hidden fastener system for Advanced PVC and composite decking. 

• Made from actual TimberTech decking material with a pre-aligned grain pattern — so they blend seamlessly with your deck boards on completion.
• Strung together on plastic strips (collated), which speeds installation and keeps plugs organized.
• Used in conjunction with Cortex screws and a setting tool to conceal screw heads after fastening.

When installed properly, the plugs sit flush and match the board’s color and grain, giving a high-end, fastener-free look across your deck

The Cortex Replacement Plugs by FastenMaster for TimberTech Azek Decking are made from actual TimberTech AZEK PVC deck boards to provide an exact match to the color and grain of your TimberTech AZEK deck, these plugs are punched from the actual deck board. These plugs are collated on a sheet of 40 or 400 pack making for easier installation.For installation we offer the pro plug countersinking tool.

What Pro Plug Is

The Pro Plug system is a hidden fastener plug system designed for AZEK® and TimberTech® PVC decking. It lets you drive screws into the deck boards then conceal the screw heads with plugs made from the same deck material, giving your deck a smooth, nearly seamless surface.

How It Works

1. Screw the deck board down using the recommended Pro Plug screws and a PVC/Composite setting tool (sold with some kits or separately).

2. The tool drives the screw to the correct depth every time — dropping into a countersunk recess sized for the plug.

3. Tap in a matching PVC plug (made from real AZEK deck board material) with a hammer until it sits flush, covering the screw.

4. The finished deck looks clean and concealed — no visible screw heads.

Plugs are cut from actual PVC decking material (matching the board color), so they blend in with your surface better than generic plastic plugs.

When used in combination with epoxy-coated or stainless steel fasteners, it gives builders the ability to choose the right screw for a wide variety of applications. Screws and PVC tool sold separately. The system features plugs made from actual deck and trim material. When using the PVC Tool (sold separately), the fasteners create a perfect hole for the matching plug, without pre-drilling. Note: Screws and PVC Tool Sold Separately.
