What Corner Pieces Are
GenStone panels are designed to mimic real stone, and corners help wrap the stone around edges without sacrificing the 3D look.
There are two main corner components:
Inside Corners
- Used where two wall surfaces meet at an interior angle (typically 90°)
- Panels on both adjoining walls wrap into the corner
- Designed so the stones look continuous and natural as they approach the corner
- Internal-facing stone faces remain flush and visually seamles
Best for:
- Interior wall junctions
- Outdoor recessed corners
- Fireplace niches
Outside Corners
- Used where a surface wraps around an outward edge
- Panels on each side meet and overlap to show a natural stone edge on both faces
- Creates a stone-wrapped projection or corner appearance
Best for:
- Exterior building corners
- Pillar edges
- Accent edges around doors or windows

OUTSIDE CORNER:
The 90º outside corner piece eliminates the need to miter panels when your installation demands a transition into another wall. This piece also creates the necessary offset pattern throughout the install. The positive shiplap edge along the left side of the piece allows panels joining from the left to slide under the corner. The negative shiplap edge on the right side provides a reliable connection to any panel installed to its right.
INSIDE CORNER:
The 90º inside corner piece is unique to the GenStone system. This panel eliminates the need to miter panels when you need to transition through an inside corner. Like the outside corner panel, this piece also creates the necessary offset pattern throughout the install. The positive shiplap edge runs along the left side of the panel and the negative shiplap edge follows the right side. Each shiplap is designed to provide a tight connection to panels joined to its right and left.
