Excalibur Fascia Mounting Post by RDI
What It Is
The Excalibur Fascia Post is a steel post designed for fascia-mounted railing installations in the RDI MetalWorks Excalibur® steel railing system. Instead of mounting the post on top of the deck surface (traditional surface mount), a fascia post attaches to the side (“fascia”) of the deck structure — usually screwed or bolted into the deck’s framing or rim joist.
Fascia-mount posts are especially handy when you want the railing close to the edge of the deck (flush with the fascia) to maximize usable deck space, or when surface mounting to the deck boards isn’t practical (e.g., overhang or dropped framing).

Pre-Mounted Post Cap

Comes with a pre-attached post cap so the top of the post looks finished and blends aesthetically with other Excalibur components.
Vinyl Leveling Shims Included
Designed for Both Level & Stair Use

Though installed on the deck fascia, it can be used to anchor either horizontal (level) rail runs or stair rail runs — just pair it with the appropriate fascia brackets for each situation.
