 What the Excalibur Fascia Bracket Is

An Excalibur Fascia Bracket by RDI is a specialized mounting bracket made to secure Excalibur steel railing panels to the edge (fascia) of a deck rather than to traditional vertical posts. Instead of mounting railing posts on the deck surface or framing, a fascia bracket lets you bolt the railing horizontally through the deck edge or fascia board — perfect when:

• You can’t or don’t want to place posts on the deck surface
• You want a cleaner look along the deck perimeter
• The railing goes along a concrete slab, raised platform, or boardwalk edge

It’s essentially a post less mounting adapter that pairs with Excalibur railing panels and hardware to give you a rigid, code-ready fascia installation.

How It Works

Attach the Fascia Bracket to Deck Edge

• The bracket mounts directly to the horizontal face of the deck framing or fascia (the vertical board on the deck perimeter).
• Heavy-duty screws or bolts secure it into the framing structure.

Connect Railing Panel

• The Excalibur steel railing panel slides or bolts into the fascia bracket.
• The bracket provides a firm structural connection point where a traditional post would normally sit.

Add Trim and Covers

• Decorative covers or trim pieces snap over the fascia bracket hardware, hiding fasteners for a clean finish.
