What HeadLOK Fasteners Are
The HeadLOK line from FastenMaster is a series of heavy-duty structural wood screws featuring:
- A flat head design that sits flush on the wood surface for a clean finish.
- An internal TORX® ttap® drive system (8-point / SpiderDrive) that greatly improves bit engagement and helps reduce stripping during installation.
- Corrosion-resistant coating and ACQ approval for use with pressure-treated lumber.
- No pre-drilling required in most wood-to-wood applications — the sharp gimlet point and aggressive threads pull the fastener in quickly.
Compared with traditional 3/8″ lag screws, HeadLOK offers higher design shear strength (meaning better load-bearing in shear applications) and saves time and labor because you don’t need pilot holes.
