Packaged Mandrel with 2 Cut off Wheels
What It Is
This is a cut-off tool kit designed specifically for use with Deckorators Contemporary Cable Railing systems. It makes trimming cable during installation much easier and cleaner than basic hand cutters.
What’s Included
- 1 Mandrel — a shaft that attaches to your power drill and holds the cutting wheels.
- 2 Cut Off Wheels — 4″ wheels that do the cutting work when spinning on the mandrel.
What It’s Used For
- Cutting cable flush to the ends of pull-lock fittings so the cable is even and smooth.
- Trimming excess threads from stud-type tensioner hardware.
- Leaving a clean, fray-free end so end caps or fittings install properly.
How It Works
- You attach the mandrel (with a cut-off wheel on it) into a standard drill, then use the spinning wheel to slice through the deck cable where needed. The setup helps avoid frayed ends that basic cable cutters sometimes leave behind.
