What the Pro Plug® System Is
The Pro Plug® System is a hidden plug fastening system used to secure PVC or composite deck boards while leaving a clean, screw-free surface once installed. Instead of leaving screw heads visible on the deck boards, you insert matching plugs that conceal the fasteners, giving a seamless, professional finish.
How It Works
- Pre-drill a pilot hole through the deck board (often recommended at lower temperatures).
- Use the Pro Plug PVC/Composite Tool with the correct driver bit. It has an auto-stop clutch that drives the screw to the proper depth without stripping the head or damaging the board surface.
- Insert the plug into the hole and tap it flush with the board surface using a hammer. Because plugs are made from or match the deck material color/texture, they blend in for a smooth finish.
