Snap Track by Screeneze
What SnapTrack by Screeneze Is
Screeneze SnapTrack by Screeneze is a no-spline porch screening track system designed to make it easier and cleaner to install insect screening without using traditional splines, staples, or bulky framing. It’s part of the ScreenEZE product family but offers a face-mounted version that’s especially good for DIY porch and patio screen applications.
How It Works
- Two-Piece Track — SnapTrack consists of an aluminum “T” base and a vinyl cap that snaps over it once the screen fabric is in place. Screws are installed through the aluminum base but are hidden under the vinyl cap for a clean look.
- Face-Mount Installation — Unlike traditional screening systems that mount inside framing channels, SnapTrack is installed right on the face of posts or columns, which reduces the amount of framing you need.
- Pre-Drilled — The aluminum base comes pre-drilled to make installation faster and more consistent.
- No Spline or Staples — You don’t use a spline roller or staples to secure the screen; the vinyl cap itself locks the screen fabric in place.
- Self-Tightening / Stretching — The SnapTrack design self-tightens and stretches the screen as the cap is snapped on, reducing sagging and helping keep panels taut.
Key Benefits
✔ Cleaner, More Professional Appearance
With the hardware hidden under the vinyl cap, the finished look is sleek and unobtrusive — no visible screws or spline.
✔ Easy DIY Installation
Pre-drilled tracks and hidden hardware simplify the process, and many homeowners find SnapTrack easier to install than older spline/staple systems.
✔ Works With Large Panels
SnapTrack can span screening panels up to about 150 square feet (e.g., very wide openings) without needing vertical posts for support.
✔ Durable, Weather-Resistant Materials
The aluminum base has a baked-on finish and the vinyl cap includes a UV-inhibitor to help it resist weather over time.
✔ Compatible With Corner Kits & Accessories
You can use SnapTrack with Screeneze Corner Plinth Kits to handle straight or mitered corners, giving versatility in framing at different angles.
✔ 10-Year-Limited Warranty
Backed by a manufacturer’s limited warranty on the base and cap components.
Typical Use Cases
- Screening porch openings, patios, and lanais where you want a fixed porch screen that’s neat and modern.
- Enclosing larger outdoor openings without heavy framing or spline sessions.
- DIY projects where simplicity and a clean finished look are priorities.
Installation Highlights
- Mount the aluminum base to the face of posts or framing using supplied screws (which get hidden).
- Roll your screen material in place so it lays flat over the opening.
- Snap the vinyl cap down over the base — it grips the mesh and holds it under tension.
- Repeat around the opening; use corner kits where necessary.
Unlike traditional SCREENEZE, SNAPTRACK installs to the face of your post or column. The aluminum base is a “T” shape and the screws are hidden under the vinyl cap.
Miter corners or use the Screeneze Flush Mount Plinth Kit to conceal 90 degree corners after screen is installed.

About this product...
SNAPTRACK is an aluminum porch screen frame system like SCREENEZE in nearly every way except it is surface-mounted to a porch enclosure instead of flush or corner-mounted (like SCREENEZE). This screen system does not require spline which helps cut material costs, and is self-stretching and tightening making it one of the easiest screen systems to install. Also, no screws are visible! What’s more it comes in multiple colors and offers a 10-year limited warranty.
