Tyvek StraightFlash by DuPont
What It Is
DuPont Tyvek StraightFlash is a premium self-adhered flashing membrane used in building construction to help seal and protect the vulnerable areas where windows and doors meet the wall assembly. It’s typically used around heads and jambs (sides) of rectangular openings.
This flashing is different from basic flashing tape — it’s designed specifically to bridge the gap between the rough opening and the building envelope, providing a durable weather barrier at those critical junctions.

Self-Adhered Flashing
- Has a 100% butyl-based adhesive that sticks directly to the substrate without mechanical fasteners. This creates a strong, watertight seal against moisture intrusion.
Tyvek® Topsheet

The visible face of the product is made from DuPont Tyvek® material — a durable, tear-resistant weather-resistive layer. This helps integrate the flashing into Tyvek WRBs (weather-resistive barriers) and the rest of the wall envelope.

Further, this tape is versatile as well as recommended as a best installation practice for sealing seams of the DuPont Tyvek Weatherization System. DuPont StraightFlash is compatible with all DuPont Tyvek® air and water barriers and other building envelope products.
