How it works

• These kits are premade aluminum framing sets specifically designed to create the perimeter framing for a screen wall enclosure. They form the basic structure you build around an existing patio, porch, deck opening, or balcony before installing screening mesh.
• The framing extrusion is a 1″ wide by 2″ deep aluminum open-back profile with a built-in channel to accept screen mesh plus flat spline — holding the screening tightly even in windy conditions.
• Aluminum is powder-coated in outdoor finishes like Matte Black, Charcoal Bronze, or White, blending with many outdoor trim styles.

Freestyle/Madden kits are available in common lengths and configurations that fit standard openings:

• 8 ft x 4-pack — basics for smaller openings
• 10 ft x 4-pack — mid-sized doors or porch panels
• 12 ft x 4-pack — larger spans

Each 4-pack includes the extruded aluminum pieces, screen spline, and fasteners you need to start building your screen wall frame.

These extrusions are labeled as “open back,” meaning they’re designed to be attached directly to existing posts, walls, or divider posts and serve as the backbone of your screen enclosure.

How It Works With a Screen Enclosure System

1. Install the perimeter frame: Attach the 1″ × 2″ aluminum extrusions along the opening’s boundary (walls, posts, top header).
2. Add divider posts if needed: For wider openings, door frames, or mid-rail breaks, use dedicated divider posts.
3. Stretch your screen mesh: Lay the screening material over the frame.
4. Lock in with flat spline: Use a spline roller to press the flat spline into the extrusion channel, securing the mesh.
5. Finish with trim or railing infill: Optional infill kits or decorative frames can complete the look.
