Blank Post for Excalibur or Latitudes Railing
What It Is
A blank post for the Excalibur or Latitudes railing system from RDI is a steel post component that provides the structural upright support for your deck or porch rail but does not include built-in mounting brackets for the railing panels. It’s essentially the bare vertical post onto which you add brackets, rails, and other hardware to complete your installation.

Blank posts are especially useful when the pre-assembled bracketed posts don’t fit your layout — for example:
Custom or Stair Installations
When installing stair railing, the angle and spacing often vary from level sections. Blank posts let you mount the appropriate brackets separately for your specific stair pitch.
Non-Standard Heights
If you’re doing a railing height that isn’t covered by the standard bracketed posts (e.g., 36″ vs 42″), a blank post allows you to select and place the brackets at the correct height for your application.
Brackets Installed Separately
Because blank posts do not come with pre-attached brackets, you purchase and install the railing brackets you need (for level or stair panels) on the post before adding rail panels.

Each post comes with a welded flange at the bottom of the post with pre-drilled holes for easy installation to deck or patio. For use with RDI Excalibur and Latitudes railing. Blank posts are usually used for stair applications.
