What T-Top Brackets Are
T-Top brackets are the mounting hardware pieces used with the T-Top profile of RDI’s Finyl Line vinyl deck railing system. The “T-Top” refers to the classic top rail profile — shaped like a capital “T” — distinct from the Deck Top style that carries a deck board on top.
These brackets sit at the ends of each top and bottom rail section and allow you to attach the rails to posts in straight sections, stair runs, and at angles. They are sold separately so you can add or replace them as needed for custom layouts or rail extensions.
What They Do
- Mount Rail Ends
T-Top brackets are used at the ends of both top and bottom rails to secure them to the posts in your railing run — holding everything level and plumb.
Accommodate Multiple Geometries
- Level brackets for flat horizontal runs.
- Stair brackets for angled stair sections.
- Swivel/angle brackets when your railing layout has non-standard angles or connectors.
These options give you flexibility for typical deck edges, multi-angle layouts, and stair transitions.
