Paint Pro Cortex for Azek Trim
What It Is
The Paint Pro Cortex for Azek Trim is a collated hidden fastening system designed specifically for AZEK PVC trim boards — especially those with PaintPro® technology that are meant to be painted. It lets you fasten trim without visible screw heads, giving a seamless surface that’s easier to paint and looks much cleaner than traditional face-screwed installations.
How It Works
- Collated Strips: Cortex plugs and screws are supplied in strips designed to keep things organized and reduce handling, speeding up installation.
- Hidden Fastening: Screws are driven below the surface and then covered with matching Cortex plugs made from AZEK material. The plugs are inserted flush with the board’s surface to hide fasteners entirely.
- Paintable Plugs: Because the plugs are made from the same AZEK PVC as the trim, they can be painted to match trim color, so the finished installation looks uniform and continuous.
- Felt-Tipped Setting Bit: The included driver bit features a felt tip that helps prevent surface marring while countersinking fasteners just right.
