What It Is

The HidFast Decker Tool is a specialized deck-board installation tool used with the HIDfast hidden fastener system. It’s designed to help professionals and experienced DIYers install decking much faster and cleaner than traditional screws or visible fasteners.

How It Works

• The tool resembles a pneumatic flooring nailer and is often operated by striking a rubber cap with a mallet to drive fasteners.
• It uses patented collated stainless steel hidden fasteners — these are driven through the edge of the deck board and into the joist.
• Once the fastener is set, a prong protrudes out, which the next board is tapped onto — creating tight spacing without visible screws on the deck surface.

With the HIDfast Decker, you can stay on your feet and install boards quickly. You can install 8 deck boards in just 3 minutes. 100 sq. ft. = 10 minutes Directions: Place two 25 piece clips into HIDfast Decker. Place the Decker at the edge of deck board at each joist and lightly strike rubber trigger cap on Decker tool. One fastener per joist. Hammer the next deck board onto the short point of the fastener. For use with square edge, single or double groove and double groove. Designed for AZEK DECKING but may also be used with the following decking types: •Square edge: Azek decking, cedar, cypress, fir, mahogany, redwood, purewood or other thermally modified decking •Single or double groove: Cedar, cypress, fir, mahogany, redwood, pure wood or other thermally modified decking, pvc decking •Double groove: Batu, garapa gold, IPE, Teak and similar wood types, composite decking Use HF2.5 or HF3 fasteners. • Timbertech (composite decking needs to have a grooved edge. • HIDfast can install 8 boards 8 feet long in a little over 3 minutes. Conventional 2.5-inch deck screws installed with a cordless driver will install1.5 boards in the same time as above. 
• HIDfast can do approximately 100 square feet in 10 minutes.
